RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT
The research of the group focuses on the analysis of economies rich in natural resources and on problems associated with natural capital, global warming and environmental economics, with special emphasis on measuring the impact of natural resources and environmental policy and on public finance, mechanism design, trade, decision under uncertainty and macro development issues. More specifically, work has been completed on the carbon premium and asset pricing, on transition risks, asset pricing and the green transition, and on evidence for a sizeable negative effect of extreme temperature on firm-level productivity and revenue-based marginal product of capital and the ensuing increase in regional disparities in Italy.
There is a weekly seminar series with external speakers held in the department plus an informal lunchtime workshop where faculty and students present their work in progress.
