Jonas is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Calleva Research Centre at Magdalen College and a member of Climate Econometrics, Nuffield College at the University of Oxford. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration (BSc) at the University of Tübingen in Germany, before moving to the United Kingdom to pursue his MPhil and DPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford.
His research is centred on econometrics, with a particular focus on model selection and the detection of outliers and structural breaks in cross-sectional and time series regression models. In addition to his methodological work, Jonas is currently applying econometric tools to questions in climate policy. He has contributed to the development of a macroeconometric model for forecasting greenhouse gas emissions and analysing climate policy scenarios.
