Dr. Indranil Dutta, a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Manchester. His research interest lies in the intersection of quantitative development economics and applied welfare economics. with a focus on understanding issues related to well-being, deprivation and distribution. Within this, he is particularly interested in measurement issues related to indicators of well-being and deprivation and the political economy issues associated with poverty and inequality. His current research is on understanding vulnerability and resilience to poverty. His research has been published in a wide range of journals including Journal of Development Economics, World Development, Social Choice and Welfare, Review of Income and Wealth, among others.
