I am a Professor of Microeconomic Theory at the University of Oxford, having moved here from LSE in 2000. I teach on the Microeconomics core course and on the Microeconomic Analysis option at undergraduate level, and on the Mathematical Methods graduate course (mainly Static & Dynamic Optimisation). Until 2006 I was the Tutorial Fellow in Economics at Hertford College. My main research interests are strategic experimentation and dynamic social learning – my best known paper is Strategic Experimentation with Exponential Bandits (2005), joint with Sven Rady and Martin Cripps. Other areas of interest are information acquisition and aggregation, reputation and career concerns, and organisational structure.
