Dougie Scott

Dougie is the Events Coordinator at CSAE, bringing extensive experience in developing and delivering international events.

Prior to joining CSAE, Dougie worked at Rise, a philanthropic scholarship programme established by Eric and Wendy Schmidt’s Schmidt Futures in partnership with the Rhodes Trust. As the Rise Community Events Manager, he supported Rise’s mission to empower promising young people to connect, develop their skills, and work together to serve others throughout their lives. In this role, he led the coordination and delivery of the Rise Residential Summit and supported Rise Fellows across 42 countries throughout the year, creating opportunities for connection, learning, and collaboration.

Previously, Dougie was Senior Events Manager for the Rhodes 120th Anniversary Reunion, where he led the planning and delivery of the flagship event, welcoming more than 1,300 members of the Rhodes community to Oxford, including President Bill Clinton.

Dougie also brings experience across museums, libraries, and creative communities, having worked as an Events Officer at Culture Perth and Kinross. He is a former Chairperson of Perthshire Pride, reflecting his commitment to community engagement, inclusion, and creating events that bring people together.
