Cihan Artunç is an Associate Professor of Economics at Middlebury College. His research studies the history of the business organization, corporate governance, and the implications of legal institutions for firm performance and entry/exit/growth dynamics. His scholarship focuses on the Ottoman Empire, Turkey, and Egypt in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He is currently a Visiting Fellow at Corpus Christi (Michaelmas 2024).
