Grade 8: £49,119 - £58,265 annum (with a discretionary range to £63,489 annum)

The Department of Economics is seeking to employ a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Economics. The appointment is a permanent position until retirement age. The successful candidate must be available to start no later than the autumn of 2026.

Reporting to the Associate Head of Resources, the postholder will be required to provide lectures, classes, and supervision, and to undertake advanced academic study in support of their teaching. The postholder will also be required to undertake administrative tasks at the Department, such as examination, admissions and teaching-related committee work. The Lecturer may be asked to contribute to undergraduate tutorial teaching at a College of the University of Oxford.

The Department offers different programmes both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The teaching involves giving lectures, classes, and tutorials. Depending on the programme, supervision might be provided in small groups or individually.
