Giulio Gottardo Wins Young Economist Prize at JEI 2025

Congratulations to Giulio Gottardo who received the Young Economist Prize-FJPB 2025 at the XXXIX Conference on Industrial Economics.

As part of its commitment to the promotion of young talent, the Jorge Padilla Blanco Foundation sponsors the Young Economist Prize-FJPB, which recognizes the best article presented by a doctoral student. On this occasion, the prize was awarded to Giulio for his work "The Cost Share Approach to Production Functions", a methodological contribution that proposes a new semiparametric approach to estimate production functions from business accounting data, without the need for strong assumptions about demand or productivity dynamics.

The award was presented during the gala dinner by Rosa Ferrer (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), on behalf of the Scientific Committee, in an emotional ceremony that highlighted both research excellence and the effort of those who are starting their academic careers.

We are thrilled to celebrate this recognition of his exceptional research and wish him every success in his career moving forward.
