St John’s College is inviting applications for a Career Development Research Fellowship in Economics, tenable for four years from 1 October 2027.
The Fellowship is aimed at early career researchers who have recently completed, or are close to completing, a doctorate and provides an opportunity to establish a research profile as part of a collegiate academic community.
Economists working in any field are welcome to apply, with particular interest in applicants working on the economics of science, research policy, or higher education. These areas are interpreted broadly, and applications are welcomed from researchers undertaking theoretical or empirical work, including experimental and quasi-experimental research and the design and evaluation of policy interventions.
The postholder may also have the opportunity to work with the Fellow for Research to coordinate events and seminars relevant to their field.
Salary: £42,254 per annum, plus a pensionable Oxford University Weighting payment of £1,730 per annum
Duration: Four years
Start date: 1 October 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter
