OUBEP Summer Programme 2022

After two years of online teaching, we were delighted to be able to host the Oxford University Business Economics Programme’s Summer Programme ‘Fundamental Economics: Economics for Business Success’ in person, just in time for our 70th anniversary.

This year the programme was held at Keble College, with daytime teaching taking place at the College’s contemporary new graduate hub, the H B Allen Centre, and then over to the beautiful dining hall for drinks, croquet and dinner.

Delegates hailed from companies around the globe; Accenture, NatWest, P&G and Shell to name a few. Our expert tutors covered ten topics over the week, allowing delegates to focus and explore economic theory and its real-world application and to better understand the challenges and choices that today’s businesses face.

It was an extremely intensive week made up of lectures, tutorials, presentations, project work and debates, so delegates had the opportunity to enjoy some relaxation time on Wednesday afternoon with a walking tour of Oxford, followed by a free evening to spend as they wished.

OUBEP 2022 was a huge success – we had a fantastic central Oxford venue, an exceptionally engaged cohort and a wonderful academic team (not to mention beautiful weather!). On completion of the Programme the delegates were unanimously delighted with what they gained from the experience, with one participant commenting:

This course was excellent – an invaluable opportunity to meet and learn from world leading economists and interact with interesting people from across the corporate spectrum. Would highly recommend to anyone!
