We’re thrilled to share that Margaret (Meg) Meyer has been elected Vice-President of the European Economic Association (EEA). The EEA, a major network that connects economists across Europe to advance research, policy, and public engagement in economics, has chosen Meg as its Vice-President for 2025, with her Presidency-elect and Presidency to follow in 2026 and 2027, respectively.
This recognition reflects Meg’s impact in the field, particularly in economic theory and organisational economics, and her leadership will be invaluable in guiding the EEA’s initiatives over the coming years.
Abi Adams has been elected to the EEA Council, where she will serve a five-year term starting in 2025. Known for her expertise in labour economics, Abi will bring fresh perspectives to the EEA’s agenda, particularly around policy engagement and research on work, inequality, and labour markets
These appointments are not only a testament to the remarkable contributions of Meg and Abi but also highlight Oxford’s continued influence on economics across Europe. Please join us in congratulating them both on this well-deserved recognition!
