We are delighted to announce that the Department of Economics has been selected to host the Journal of International Economics (JIE) Summer School from 1st to 3rd July 2024. This programme offers a unique opportunity for PhD students and Post Doctoral Associates from around the world to delve into frontier topics and techniques in international economics.
The Summer School will feature a series of lectures by leading faculty in international economics and participants will have ample opportunities to engage in insightful discussions on ongoing research. We are thrilled to welcome one hundred junior researchers worldwide to join our community in Oxford for an intensive three-day programme.
We are pleased to introduce this year's instructors, who will enrich the Summer School with their expertise:
• Yan Bai (University of Rochester)
• Swati Dhingra (LSE)
• Amit Khandelwal (Yale University)
• Dmitry Mukhin (LSE)
• Pablo Ottonello (University of Maryland)
• Steven Redding (Princeton University)
We extend our gratitude to the JIE Scientific Committee, comprised of Costas Arkolakis, Javier Bianchi, Natalia Ramondo, and Martin Uribe, for their invaluable support. We would also like to acknowledge our local academic hosts, Banu Demir Pakel, for their collaboration in making this Summer School possible.
