JOHANNES ABELER AWARDED THE 2019 SCHMOLDERS PRIZE FOR RESEARCH IN BEHAVIOURAL ECONOMICS

Congratulation to Johannes Abeler on being awarded the 2019 Schmolders Prize for research in behavioural economics.

The Schmölders prize is awarded annually by the Verein für Socialpolitik (the German Economics Association) for a paper in behavioural economics.  Johannes Abeler was awarded the prize for his paper "Preferences for Truth-telling" (jointly with Daniele Nosenzo and Collin Raymond), which is forthcoming in Econometrica.

This year the jury was chaired by Jeannette Brosig-Koch, who presented Johannes with the award on May 10, 2019, at the Annual Meeting of the Social Science Committee in Essen.

The Schmölders Prize is endowed with 3,000 Euros and is donated by the Schmölders Foundation for Behavioral Research in Business
