Financial Economics Masters ranked second in the world by QS
Oxford’s full-time Master’s in Financial Economics, run jointly by Saïd Business School and the Department of Economics, has been ranked second globally by a top ratings agency.
It is the second year running that the prestigious programme has been rated so highly and confirms the amazing futures for graduates from the course.
According to QS’s figures, the programme topped the ranking for:
- Alumni outcomes – with a 100% score, and for
- Employability – also with a 100% score.
The breakdown also demonstrates the MFE’s strengths for participants, including 100% scores for alumni impact, employer reputation and staff.

More than 280 Master's in Finance programmes have been ranked by QS. To broaden access to the strength of Oxford’s Financial Economics teaching, the programme is now also offered as a two-year, part-time course.
The new Oxford Master’s in Applied Financial Economics is designed for professionals experienced in finance, consulting, or related fields. It is delivered in a blended online and in person format, offering the flexibility to study while continuing to balance work commitments.
