We are pleased to announce that Francesco Zanetti has been appointed Professor of Economics. He also holds the David Richards Fellowship at Wadham College.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Francesco for this well-deserved recognition of his contributions to the department. Before joining Oxford in 2012, he spent eight years at the Bank of England, serving as an Economist, Senior Economist, and Adviser in the Monetary Analysis Section. He is also a visiting scholar at the Bank of International Settlements and the Bank of England and has provided technical support to over forty central banks worldwide. Francesco has held teaching positions at the London School of Economics, London Business School, and the joint IMF Vienna Institute.
His research focuses on Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, and Applied Econometrics, with work spanning labour market dynamics, structural reforms, news shocks, fiscal multipliers, and unconventional policies.
