Augustus Smith elected to the All Souls Fellowship by examination

We are delighted to congratulate Augustus Smith, a second year MPhil student in Economics, on being elected to the All Souls Fellowship by examination.

This prestigious fellowship lasts for seven years and provides students intending to pursue academic careers with funding and support for their subsequent study. Several members of our department are currently affiliated with All Souls College, including Professor Sir John Vickers, the College’s warden since 2008, and Professor Noam Yuchtman, current holder of the Drummond Professorship in Political Economy.

It is with great pleasure that we see Augustus join the current Fellows of the highly selective All Souls College as the first economist in sixteen years to hold the fellowship by examination. The Department sends him our congratulations.
