The research interests of the group cover a wide range of topics and issues in macroeconomic theory and policy. Many members of the group are affiliated with the Nuffield Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Policy (NuCAMP), the Centre for Macroeconomics (CFM) and the Political Economy of Financial Markets (PEFM) Programme at St Antony's College. A steady flow of visitors from academic and policy-making institutions complement the group, making for lively intellectual and social interactions.

The group runs a weekly seminar series with external speakers held in collaboration with Exeter College under the generous sponsorship of Banco Santander, plus informal workshops where faculty and students present their work in progress.

At the end of September, the group organizes its flagship event, the Oxford-NY Fed conference on Monetary Economics, currently in its fourth edition. During the conference, distinguished academics, policymakers, and economists in the private sector engage in paper presentations and policy discussions in a lively and collegial environment.
