Teaching Fellow and Departmental Lecturer for MPhil & Undergraduate Macroeconomics
Mphil thesis co-ordinator for Macroeconomics
I have recently joined the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford as a Departmental Lecturer where I will be lecturing and teaching postgraduate courses in Macroeconomics.
I have previously been affiliated with the University of Cambridge as Post-doctoral Research Fellow, Magdalene College as Fellow in Economics and Director of Studies, and the Lahore University of Management Sciences as an Assistant Professor in Economics.
My research interests are at the intersection of Macroeconomics, Finance and time series/financial econometrics. In my research I have explored bubbles in asset prices and have evaluated and proposed different techniques for detecting asset price bubbles. My recent articles have been more focussed on macroeconomic issues, exploring the link between household debt and its asymmetric effects on economic growth across different countries.
I have a significant amount of teaching and administrative experience in academia and have taught courses in Macroeconomics and Econometrics.
