The data collection was entirely coordinated at ICRISAT itself under the leadership of Dr K.P.C.Rao and Dr C.Bantilan. From 2005, input in questionnaire design and methodology were provided by Stefan Dercon, Pramila Krishnan (Cambridge), Sylvie Lambert (INRA, Paris) and Reena Badiani (Yale).

The data released here are a reasonably clean version with specific attention to linking the data across time. A huge part of the initial work in making this possible was done by Reena Badiani (Yale); she deserves special mention. Others involved were Sonya Krutikova (Oxford), Abla Safir (INRA, Paris) and other research assistants based at Oxford. Researchers using our version of the data should acknowledge that. The data used were collected by ICRISAT. They are the version of the data released by Stefan Dercon, via the Oxford University website.'
