From Academic Year 2011-12, the core courses (for finals in 2013 onwards) will be "full-weight" rather than "two-thirds" papers.
There are three core papers:
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Quantitative Economics
For PPE, E&M and H&E students these three courses are compulsory (except that tripartite PPE students who take only two economics papers will do any two of them).
EEM and MEM students may take Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics but not Quantitative Economics.
