Research Interests

Summary: Industrial Organization, Empirical Industrial Organization, Applied Microeconometrics, Differentiated Products.

My current research is in two areas. First, using a detailed panel of 5000 households over two years, I estimate a consumer model of the number of stores visited in any period. The work will analyze the variation in shopping costs across consumers, and the impact of these costs on firm behaviour. Second, I estimate a model of endogenous market structure in the US commercial radio market using a dataset of ownership changes after deregulation in 1996.
