Research Groups

In our large department, research activity is focused within smaller specialized research groups which reflect the evolving research interests of department members. Every member of the department, including our research students, belongs to at least one research group. Groups share the objectives of promoting and supporting high quality research, and providing an active and supportive research environment for faculty and research students in their field. Each group has a senior member of the department as convenor with responsibility for co-ordinating activities, including regular seminars/research workshops.
