In the Financial Times ranking of pre-experience finance masters programmes published on 20 June 2011, the MSc in Financial Economics (MFE) programme was ranked top in the UK and fourth globally.
The course, run jointly with the Saïd Business School, ranked particularly highly in the following areas:
- Second in the world for salaries of alumni three years after graduation.
- Third in the world for aims achieved – the extent to which students achieved their goals through the programme.
- Third in the world for international mobility – a measure based on changes in the country of employment in the three years following graduation.
This follows two recent surveys (in the Guardian and the Complete University Guide) that ranked the undergraduate degree in Economics and Management as the top business/ management programme in the UK.
The full-time nine-month Masters programme provides outstanding training in the tools of financial economics sought by financial institutions, companies and public organisations.
