Each year the Department offers a number of doctoral studentships and teaching assistantships. Applications are usually invited in Trinity Term and decisions are made by mid-July, with the award tenable from the following academic year. Holders of these awards must be either Probation Research Students (PRS) or DPhil students (though they need not hold that status at the point of application).
